Mind your own Business Page!
I see many people on Facebook who are running their business under a personal profile (aka timeline) rather than a business page (aka fan page).
If you are using a personal page as a business page, I highly encourage you to convert the personal page to a business page. Many people lose their pages due to breaking the terms of personal vs. business pages. Don’t risk it!
Of course there are advantages of setting your business up with a personal profile but it is in violation of Facebook's Statement of Rights and Responsibilities and you risk permanently losing all of your content and access to the page all together. 'Knock, Knock... Who's there? Facebook - your page is gone!'
How do you know if you have a personal profile or a business page?
Personal profiles have 'friends' and business profile have 'likes'.
Perhaps you didn't know it was possible to set up a business page or maybe you didn't know how to set it up. Well it is still not to late, you can actually convert the personal profile to a business page, see article: 'Converting your profile into a Page'. Your 'friends' will automatically become 'likers' and most of the information will be converted over from your personal profile to the business page. Just to be on the safe side, I do recommend you make a backup from your personal profile first.

Social Media doesn't bite, if used correctly - lol!
